PETRONAS TWIN TOWER.
At a height of 451.9m. the magnificent Petronas Twin Tower is a world-renowned icon of modern Malaysia. It is the centre piece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre  (KLCC) that comprises the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Suria KLCC shopping Mall, star-rated hotels, a mosque as well as the immaculately landscaped KLCC Park. One of the highlight of a visit here is standing at the Skybridge on the 41st floor for a breathtaking vista of the city skyline.

Closed On Monday
Admission to the Skybridge is free. Visitor must queue up early as only a limited number will be   allowed to go up daily.

KUALA LUMPUR TOWER

Poised atop Bukit Nanas, the Kuala Lumpur Tower is a major landmark in the city. This communication tower stand at 421m. It is situated within the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve.
KL Tower is the fourth tallest telecommunications tower in the world. It is also the only tower in the world to be situated in a forest reserve at the heart of the city

Getting there: KL Monorail - Bukit Nanas Station. from the station, visitor can take a taxi to the tower. Shuttle services are also available from major hotels.


NATIONAL MUSEUM
Jalan Damansara


The country's premier museum is a repository for the nation's rich heritage and history. Built in 1963,the faced feature a Minangkabau-styled roof with two impressive front murals.
The museum showcase four main galleries with highlight such as traditional music instrument,ceramics from the Ming Dynasty, vintage car and steam locomotive. The Malay world Gallery is situated at the museum grounds.

Getting there: Taxis are the most convenient mode of transport to the museum.

SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD BUILDING

Kuala lumpur traces its origins as a mining outpost for the tin trade in the 1800s 
Getting there:   Rapid KL LRT- Masjid Jamek Station.
                         The building is a short walk away.

One of the most prominent and distinguished landmarks of KL, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is an enduring attraction amidst the rapidly changing city skyline. Built in 1897, the building was named  after the reigning monarch at the time. The stately edifice served as the government administrative building during the British era. Constructed entirely of brick, it boasts a Mahomentan or Neo-Saracenic style with an imposing porch, graceful arches,shiny copper domes and a 41.2 high clock tower.

Jam besar yang terdapat pada menara setinggi itu pula dikenali sebagai “jamkemerdekaan” kerana jam tersebut berdenting 12 kali pada tepat jam 12.00 malam, 30Ogos 1957.


KL LAKE GARDENS

A refreshing enclave at the heart of the city. the KL Lake Garden sprawls over 200 acers. Built around two lake, the garden has vistas of exotic blooms and a luxuriant foliage. Jogging and walking trails are available. Within the environs, lie parks and gardens.

MALAYSIA TOURISM CENTRE (MaTiC)

Set within a beautiful colonial building, the Malaysia Tourism Center is a one-stop center for tourists with various facilities and services such as internet acess, tour operator, currency exchange, tourist police, souviner outlets and chocolate boutique. Cultural performance are held in the auditorium on certain days of the week.

PASAR SENI (CENTRAL MARKET)

A great place to find crafts and ornaments, the Central Market is one or the city'prominent heritage building. It is a fine example of the 1930s Art deco style with a stepped extrance design,unifying elemant at the window and door as well as wrought iron panels.

AQUARIA KLCC
Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre


Occupying 60,000 sq, Aquaria KLCC showcases a variety of marin from various parts of the world.

Must do:
*  Marvel at the Arapaima, the world's largest freshwater fish which can weigh up to 200kg
*  Walk through Aquaria's 90-metre long tunnel to view shark,stingrays and other marine life
*  Watch the Bumblebee Dart Frog, wich is said to be one of the most toxic animals on earth.
*  Observe the Sand Tiger Shark, one of the most aggressive sharks in the world
*  Watch the dialy fish-feeding session

ROYAL SELANGOR VISITOR CENTRE


This is the name of the world-renowned Royal Selangor pewter. Interesting exhibits  and interactive display make visit here informative and full of fun.

Must Do:
* Go on guided factory tour to see the various stages of pewter processing
*Join the School of Hard Knock to create your own souvenir.
*Take a photograph of the world's biggest pewter tankard,cited in the Guiness Book of World  Record in 1987
* Purchase pewterware and beautiful silver jewellery.
* Stand next to the two-storey high replica of the Petronas Twin Towers, made of 7,062 pewter tankard.

Opening hours: 9.00am-5.00pm daily.
Admmision is free. Participation for the School of hard Knocks is Rm50 per person. Booking and arrangement must be made in advance.

CATHEDRAL OF SAINT MARY THE VIRGIN
Jalan Raja

A fine example of early English Gothic architecture, this cathedral features stained glass windows, tasseled tile paving and buttresses. A unique feature here is the pipe organ built in 1895 by Henry Willis,one of the greatest organ builders of his day.

KUALA LUMPUR CRAFT COMPLEX
Jalan Conlay


Styled after a Malay village, this complex is an artist's colony housing handicraft shops, a craft museum and a food court. Art workshop and demonstrations are held for visitors.


Must do:
* Join an art workshop to create your own batik piece
* Try your hand at pottery-making
* Watch how the skilled artisans make exquisite silver and pewterware
* See how traditional fabric are woven
* Visit the Craft Museum for an insight into the history of Malaysian craft
* Browse for unique souvenirs.
